“Macklerena” – ideaot . How have I never heard this before.
Relistening to radiooooo.com made me find some more high-quality stuff:
- “Mobile Coffin” – Messer Chups – feels like spoopy surfer music. They are also already VERY AWARE that this is their aesthetic.
- “Ai Du” – Ali Fakra Touré – some chill blues

“Chambermaid Swing” – Parov Stelar . Lawrence was looking for dance choreos that he wanted to learn from and one of them was dancing to this swag song.
“Fighting Fish” – Dessa . She’s still awesome.

“Illmerica” – Wolfgang Gartner. An old song, but I never saw the music video until sadun showed me. Kinda your classic “People’s History of America’ spiel but the papercuts are entertaining
12/4
“Ivan the Terrible vs. Alexander the Great” – Epic Rap Battles. Unnnngh this is just stuck in my head permanently, especially Frederick the Great’s intro. In general, most of the group ones are good, except Putin’s verse in this one is just absolutely terrible.

“24K Magic” – Bruno Mars. This came on the radio and I saved it for some reason. I’m not sure why. Probably the 80’s vibe? It’s not very good.

“Iron” – Woodkid – hooooly crap these beats these words this rhythm. Music video definitely matches the feel as well.

The following came up during Jeopardy studying of Top 40 songs:
- “Cheap Thrills” – Sia + Sean Paul – I’m a big fan of the 1950s variety show aesthetic of this music video. Not sure how I feel about the dialect transcription of Sean Paul’s accent
- “You Know You Like It” – DJ Snake – I clubbed a lot to this, but I think it was all to remixes. I like this one better.
In general, I’ve found out that a lot of the songs that I chalked up to “generic EDM dance mixes” are actually Justin Bieber to my great surprise (Sorry, What Do You Mean, Love Yourself, etc.). I’m glad he pivoted although he’s permanently stuck in my head as “Baby”

“The River” – Son Little – Came up on Pandora. Jammin’

Sergei Polunin dancing to “Take Me to Church” – Hozier – HOLY CRAP LIKE WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN? THE LIGHTING, THE SET DESIGN, THE CINEMATOGRAPHY, THE **DANCING** WOW I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT BALLET BUT HOT DAMN

“The Edge” – David McCallum – the sample for “The Next Episode”. Some really classy tunes.
2/6
“Simple and Clean (Ray of Hope MIX)” – Utada Hikaru – a pretty nice remix of a pretty classic song
